Appreciation

 Hebrews 6:10 KJV

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 6:10 NLT

For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. 

I feel like God really wants people to know that they are appreciated. We can be so good at focusing on the negative of ourselves. We feel like we are not good enough or trying enough. And I think it is good to strive for better and see where we can improve. But we should not confuse our feelings about ourselves with God's feelings about us. 

God appreciates you. 

When you seek him and pray, he appreciates you.

When you wash the dishes for your family without grumbling, he appreciates you.

When you call an old friend that he placed on your heart, he appreciates you.

When you smile and play with a kid and show them they are valuable, he appreciates you.

When you spend some time with a lonely elderly person, he appreciates you.

Remember what it says in Galatians 6:9 NLT: So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
