Overcome evil with good
Bless others whenever you can
The principle is simple
But is hard to understand

When others come against us
We are looking to save face
The eye for eye mentality
Is what’s more than common place

We want to hurt back when hurt
The cycle keeps on going
But if we choose to love instead
Then the mercy can start flowing

When we make the choice to love
It is difficult indeed
But all we’ll grow is hate if
It is only hate we feed
