Complaint Free World: Day 5

Exodus 16:8 NLT
Then Moses added, "The LORD will give you meat to eat in the evening and bread to satisfy you in the morning, for he has heard all your complaints against him. What have we done? Yes, your complaints are against the LORD, not against us."

Exodus 16:8 KJV
And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD hearth your murmuring which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.

At a very basic level, when we complain, we are complaining against God. He is the one that has given us life and I think we are being ungrateful for that gift when we complain. He deserves our praise. He deserves our gratefulness because truly he is good. Truly, there is more good in our lives than bad. But, if we are to complain I think we are better off taking most complaints to God, at least in the first place. If we are to complain or confront other for a wrong, it is best done prayerfully and with God's wisdom.

How I did Day 4:
I still haven't completed a full day of not complaining. It went well all day but the night time grumpies got to me. Also, John woke up screaming at midnight. I am not sure if I complained or not but it would not be a surprise if I did.

Hebrews 4:16 KJV
Let us therefore come body unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Thank you Lord, that I find mercy and help in you. Thank you, that I am never denied at the feet of the cross. No mistake, no sin, no wrong attitude, disqualifies me from being your child. Thank you Lord that you are the one who has begun a good work in me and your are faithful to complete it.
