Judging Judas

It is easy to judge Judas

The betrayer of our Lord

We can count him as a beast

Is it possible he's more?

Jesus loved them to the end 

Was he fooled? Or is it us?

We need to follow God

And not be fooled as was Judas?

Just like Judas, we are chosen.

We are loved and not despised.

But we need to guard our hearts 

And to see that we are wise.

The Bible says the devil planted 

Things in Judas heart

Thoughts of greed and of betrayal 

These things tore him all apart

In his folly Judas took it

He played out of Satan’s plan

The devil used him like a pawn

To betray the Son of Man

The devil, like the serpent,

Is so subtle that you’ll find

He makes you fight for money

But the battles for your mind. 

He comes to steal kill and destroy

But his tactics are not new 

He’ll fill you with his evil thoughts

And say they are from you.
