Pester God With Your Prayers

I think sometimes people feel that their prayers are not important enough. They worry about things and they are bothered - But God has a lot on his plate right? Isn't he too busy to deal with the things we care about?

As I read Luke chapter 18 this morning,  I loved that God was inviting us to pray and not give up in praying. Learn from this widow. The judge didn't care about bugging the uncaring judge. She brought her petition with persistence. He wants us to be like that with him. As I was reading this in the morning I understood God to be saying "Go ahead, pester me with your prayers."

I would hate to imagine that my prayers are annoying to God, even though I have to admit that I probably have crossed that line a few times in the past with my persistence. But, I think that he is saying this for those that are hesitant to bring their prayers to him because they don't want to bother him. But he gave you the go ahead. He says that men "ought always to pray, and not to faint" the NLT says they "should always pray and never give up."

All those things that you are storing in you heart and are bothering you - PRAY about them. Don't live your life in worry and fear. Pray until the worry disappears.

Corrie ten Boom said "Worry is a cycle of inefficient thoughts whirring around a center of fear."
Your worry isn't doing anything so don't be afraid to turn them into prayers and let them go.
