Hand in Hand

My good and loving father,

You never leave and won't forsake.

You faithfully care for me,

When I sleep and when I wake.

Nothing can separate me,

Be it sin or a mistake,

From the tender love you give me.

From the mercy you won't take.

I'm so grateful for your ear

That you hear my prayers and cries.

Your love takes away the fear,

Though I know not all the whys.

Yes, there's so much in this life

I will never understand.
