Some Older Poetry

In God's Hands

No other place can boast of safety
Inside his hands I do find rest
Comfort, love, all around me
He feeds me all that is the best
He let me know he'll never leave me
I accept and I believe
Next to him are joy and safety
That without I can't achieve
Money isn't safety
Just a tool to pay the rent
A life that is spent chasing it
Always will repent
But a life chasing my loved one
Ah, there is joy pure
All in the world will perish
But he, he will endure
He is indestructible
And though I am just man
In a warm blanket of safety
I stay inside his hands
Water of the oceans roar
As the storms rage all around
Hell-bent on destroying me
In his hands I'm found
While the world has such commotion
I just hear a muffled sound

In The One Called Love

As I come across an ocean
Of love that's all around
I test my toes into the waters
What is this I've found?
Food has found such flavor
Eyes have learned to see
Colors all around me
Dancing vibrantly
I may go a little deeper
But I'm not sure what you'd learn
Because if I go in further
I may not bother to return
