Sugar Free Challenge Day 8

Yesterday was day 8 of my sugar free challenge. It was another school day so that kept me busy until lunch. For lunch I had my usual giant salad. When cleaning up I heard my husband shuffling things about in the pantry. He had hidden some cookies up high in the pantry and he was perplexed as to how they were down low.

"How did they reach them?" he muttered to himself.

I was kind of confused when he hid back in the pantry and ate the cookies.

"Why are you hiding?" I asked him. "Are you hiding from me? I am looking straight at you?"

"I am not hiding from you." He shot back. "I am hiding so I won't have to share with the kids."

All this time I thought they were hiding sweets to be considerate of me and my challenge. Silly me!

Is it normal that my family hides sweets from each other?

After lunch we all went for a run at the Hesperia Lake Park nearby. It was cool but it was a beautiful day at the park.

I think over all the sugar cravings have gotten better. There was one difficult point in the day though. We were near a Mexican food place and Aubrey suggested we grab some churros. Well, it turns out that there is something else other than chocolate that gives me cravings! I mentioned that I would love a Costco churro. I wish I would have never mentioned it. I could not get it out of my mind. I had to talk myself out of it.

"Think of something else" I pleaded with myself. "Think of puppies. Cute little puppies."

Honestly, it did help. Puppies are cute.

So, that was day 8.
