Complaint Free World: Day 4

Philippians 2:14 KJV
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

Philippians 2:14 NLT
Do everything without complaining and arguing,

Well, if I had any doubt that this "complaint free" idea was biblical, there is the proof. I need to stop the complaining . . . and arguing.

Just for fun, here is the definition for the word argue. According to dictionary.com argue is a verb
meaning to present reasons for or against a thing or to contend in oral disagreement; dispute.

Now, I think that at times there must be reasons to disagree, just, speaking personally, it should be rarely and respectfully.

How I did Day 3:
Yesterday was an amazing day. We got to go to Lee's company picnic. There was face painting and balloon animals and bouncers. We also went and picked out the quartz and the lights for our kitchen renovation.
That being said, I did complain so back to Day 1.
I found myself complaining about the heat and other complaints in response to complaining. I find that complaining begets complaining so I need to be careful not to respond with a complaint when others complain.

I found an interesting passage in A Complaint Free World by Will Bowen:
"According to Dr. Robin Kowalski, Whether or not the particular statement reflects a complaint . . . depends on whether the speaker is experiencing an internal dissatisfaction." The words in a complaint and a noncomplaint can be identical; what distinguishes the two is your meaning, your energy behind them."
