Complaint Free World: Day 3

Proverbs 17:28 KJV
Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

Proverbs 17:28 MSG
Even dunces who keep quiet are thought to be wise; as long as they keep their mouths shut, they're smart.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to be quiet. I don't know why we as people so often feel the need to speak when silence would be the better choice. Especially in  the case when the old saying comes into play "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.

I was looking at some quotes about remaining silent. Here are a few:

"It is better to remain silent at the risk of being though a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it." -Maurice Switzer

"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret."
-Ambrose Bierce

"Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong things at the tempting moment."
- Benjamin Franklin

How I did Day 2:

Day 1 was better . . . . early in the morning I  was rushing around a bit trying to get ready to go. I had one of those moments when I entered into the room and didn't know why I was there. I complained about my memory so I was back to Day 1 according to the rules (since it needs to be 21 consecutive days of not complaining.)
Later on, I had an argument with my husband Lee and all of that "not complaining" went out the window during the argument. I was definitely discouraged, but I am not giving up on this because I believe that not complaining will ultimately help me have less arguments. It takes two to have an argument, if I would have took the advice of Proverbs 17:28 and kept silent, I would have saved myself some heartache.
